He has a proven track record; driving millions of dollars of bottom line impacts in the companies he has worked with. He is very active in the Lean Community & keeps his finger on the pulse of the industry. Kelly attended Utah Valley University where he studied Technology Management. He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified level 2 Lean Practitioner, and Certified in Project Management. During his career he has been in over 200 businesses and worked on Lean Implementations with 37 of them. He has worked in many different industries from service, healthcare, to manufacturing. He excels in connecting systems and creating strategies for growth and profitability. Kelly serves on the board for the local chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) as the 2010 Chairman. He is currently the Operations Lean Manager for a Dental and Medical manufacturing facility (Ultradent Products) in Salt Lake City, UT. As Operations Lean Manager he is responsible for the strategy and deployment of all Continuous Improvement efforts, all Training, and manages 4 Manufacturing Departments. Prior to working for Ultradent Products, he worked for MEP Utah as a Lean/Business Development Consultant. His success in Lean Transformation has been published by SME's Lean Directions Newsletter, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Utah Valley Business Q Magazine. He looks at Lean as a strategy for Growth and Profitability not just a set of tools and philosophies; he is continuously looking for ways to help companies grow and profit from true Lean Transformation. Kelly and his family (wife Rachel and daughter Sloan) have made their home in Utah.
